      • A 4 day migraine just gave up the battle for my brain, so I’m smiling! Let me see ho much cat food Destiny is willing to go without, lol, and I’ll see what I can come up with. It might not work, though, because I was told two days ago that the benefit payment I currently get ($75 every two weeks) is being stopped so that the one I get this Sat will be the last and my foodstamps will come in November but that’s it. A judge for SSI denied both my case and appeal, so I have to start the process all over again; maybe this time I’ll find a laywer who knows what the verb ‘to advocate’ actually means, and what it looks like when it is at home. 🙂 I’m afraid Destiny might insist that she prefers to eat. 🙂 But one never knows, do one? (Yes, I’m a big Fats Wallers fan) Maybe I can get the trust fund laywer to give me some of my own money for food (people and cat) and whatnot, and I can wiggle some creative accounting in… My fiance is still slightly stunned that I bought one of a local painter’s pieces with 3/5ths of what the lawyers gave me as cash last year.Lol. Too bad I’ve already spent this years’ on textbooks… I must strategize. As soon as I clean out the tub after the plumber’s wet vac dumped all the overflow water and the dirt that was in it down the tub’s drain. Ah, the sweet sound of a wet vac right outside your room when you already have a migraine… fortunately I was reading a spy novel at the time, and was right at the part where someone is being tortured in a yurt up in the Hindu Kash mountains, so I had a considerable opportunity for exercising perspective 🙂 I found the noise was really not so bad after all — and it didn’t last very long either. I like perspective. It keeps me from being as bitchy as my first inclination might allow 🙂 I’ll let you know if I can come up with anything to haggle with!

  1. Lol. I just showed the piece to Joe, who liked it: when I told him about your generous offer I got a “Hmm. yeah” and he left the room. Heh Heh Heh… If he was working and contributing other than foodstamps to the household I’d be more considerate of his views, but since my trust pays the rent and utliities and I’ve been the only contributor to the household cash, I feel fully entitled to buy art when I can 🙂 I’m 52, and will have access to this trust when I am 55. It still makes me laugh, wondering if my mother thought I’d be more mature at 55 than I was at 50, when she died. My guess is not by much, if at all. I think if I grew up the stress would just kill me 🙂 There’s nothing like being irresponsible to make you forget you are middleaged! Lol. So, Destiny and I shall be plotting quietly I guess. Now this is all making me smile! Even if I can’t manage it, you have made my day! Blessed Be, and thank you 🙂 🙂 🙂
